THE FRESCOES VIDEO
Join author Karen Norton-Sinell as she tells, why the stories and history that inspired the Fresco artists had to become a book.
The video provides insights into the author-photographer’s journey in making her new book, “Frescoes by the Bay: Art, Artists and Their Stories”. This double volume art history publication explores the 1930′s works of famous and not-so famous muralists working in San Francisco during the Depression. This 5-minute film touches upon the wealth of artists, from Diego Rivera to Maxine Albro, whose paintings hang in unexpected locations throughout the city.
The murals are all still intact and may be visited by the public.
